I've got the same problem at school about once a week. I have started listening to SST a few months ago, and now other students are beginning to listen also. Back then, I had no problems requesting, but now I get the messgae that I've already requested a song. I believe it is because all internet access goes through one proxy server. Thus. to SST, it looks like the same computer is trying to request another track.

Does anybody know a way around this problem?
If not, maybe JERIC could try the following idea...

Perhaps a persistant cookie could be placed on a user's computer the first time SST is accessed on that computer. Then this cookie, which would never need to be changed again, could uniquely identify computers.

Since this persistant cookie would would not change when a user logs out or in to SST, it prevents users from using multiple email addresses from cheating the request system, as well as allowing people with proxies the requests that they deserve.

Could you try connecting from that proxy to a different proxy then to SST?

There are plans to have requests based off of Usernames instead of IP addresses. It's one of the highest priorities but it will take some hard work and time to be implemented.
