I personally don't like Philip Glass tracks. I find them quit boring. So I am curious how much people like Glass.
Some explanation why you like Glass-tracks would be nice too :-) |

I really Like Philip Glass. His music style is very original and I kinda like the repitition. Kundun was a great score I though. |

Cal I'm a bit surprised. I thought you were like me in that we tend to like albums on an individual basis.
Do I like Phillip Glass? Depends upon the track. |

I like Koyaanisqatsi & The Hours. But I have to be in the mood for it though. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

I have to go with "NO". I have nothing against him as a composer but I have never heard anything from him that "floats my boat". _________________ A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day. - Calvin and Hobbes - |

If I'm remembering correctly, I really really like Kundun a lot but things like The Hours start to annoy me, and then there's this one album that simply drives me batshit, but obviously I haven't commited the name of it to memory. You can toss that unnamed track and Prospero's Books out the window as far as I'm concerned. |

I just heard Koyaanisqatsi from the Koyaanisqatsi album.
I have to admit, it sounded pretty good. |

Okay...I found one I definately DON'T like: on Koyaanisqatsi, the song "The Grid". 21 minutes of the same bar over and over again. Yuck. |

* Caliburn just ordered Koyaanisqatsi
Well it seems my theory still stands. I don't like composers, just soundtracks |

I think you have to learn to listen to his music. After listening a couple of times to individual ST's you're going to appreciate them. |
