Well, I know it's after Christmas...but there's always another one coming up! You definitely need some classics in a DVD library. Here are 2 must-haves:The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming! Man, The Court Jester had me rolling (or maybe I have a weird sense of humour). _________________ "Get it?...Got it!...GOOD!" -- The Court Jester |

I also like the Court Jester. It's so classic!
How could you forget some Star Trek? I think these are essentials although other Trekkers can disagree with me:
Wrath of Khan
Search for Spock
First Contact
Other nice additions:
Matrix
E.T.
Gattaca
Dark Crystal
For anime lovers, I recommend the original Mobile Suit Gundam Movie Trilogy and the Captain Harlock movie called Arcadia of My Youth.
I'm looking forward to getting the animated Last Unicorn on DVD. |

The recent double DVD release of Ridley Scott's Legend is a really good purchase... it has both the original North American version with the Tangerine Dream score and the new director's cut with the superior Jerry Goldsmith score.
If you like sci-fi, the Director's Cut of the Dune miniseries is quite a good product too. |
