My nickname is nothing special. It's just short for Patrick. My friends call me Patje ever since I was 4 years old. It's less official. _________________ In a world without justice, one man was chosen to protect the innocent. |

No real mystery for me. JK being my initials and the 2silly because I have tried to never take life too seriously. Oddly enough, the only nickname that I got growing up I do not use. It was from the Piers Anthony "Myth" book series. I was named after the the adolescent dragon Gleep.
So Slowmo, Cocles, and Jeric. I see you have all chimed in to this forum but have all failed to answer the basic question. How did you 3 get your nick-names? _________________ A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day. - Calvin and Hobbes - |

JK2, you're being silly.. I already told that both SlowMo and Cocles were Roman generals.. Or do you mean that you don't believe that?
Ok, well, then another story : SlowMo has been my nickname ever since I went to BBS's with a 2400 baud modem, while everybody else already had 14.4.. Is that better? _________________ "By the time they had diminished from 50 to 8, the other dwarves began to suspect 'Hungry.'" -- Gary Larson |

It's very hard to explain because the english (or american) language is so much different in pronounciation than in dutch. But I'm gonna try it anyway.
The letter P is pronounced the same in dutch as in english. The A is pronounced the same as when you say my name (Patrick), so no changes there either.
The difficulty is the the J. In English it is pronounced as "djee". In dutch you take away the "d".
And the E at the end is pronounced as "uh", like in DUH!!. So Patje rhymes with duh.
It's that simple hehe.

Hello there,
I got mine from my obsession with sportsman-like behaviour on the badminton court.
I ran an experiment to see what the effect was of playing badminton games whilst different styles of music were playing in the background.
Since then I have had the nick - Maestro. _________________ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness". |

I was flipping thru a Japanese cinema book, and came accross a movie called 'Taxihunter'. It was sort of their version of 'Falling Down', with M. Douglas. Liked it, took it as my name. |

My nick comes from long time ago when I was registering in Hotmail, I had two choices, both of them names of animals in my native dialect, as the fisrt one (chotillo) was taken, I got the second choice (which, obviously, was not taken) |

Wolf - I wear a wolfskin suit. In Old Europe, the
bad boy of the clan had to wear one. He was
not allowed to feed in the communal feast.
I'm a rebel, a loner.

Regarding how I got my name...
Look at the avatar _________________ We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off.

Should I tell you that the first time I saw your name I misread it to FrozenHAM. The avatar did nothing to disabuse me of the idea
