Well, on the first day I got into a chat there was a discussion about MST3K. Specifically the episode "space mutiny" where they give the protagonist loads of "tough" names, like Slab Fistpunch or Gristle McThornbody. Later, I started modifying it, changing the "Thornbody" part to whatever fitted the occasion. Then I won a supervillain contest with the name Dr Nerd, so I called myself Dr Gristle McNerd. I eventually dropped the Dr, though.
So there. Pretty straightforward, right? Very Happy

My name is... elmer856! Elmer, because... well I really don't know. It was a nickname that started in grade school and stuck with me for life. Probably base on the the first few letters of my first and last name put together, or because there was a safety elephant named elmer... The 856 comes from the model number of a tractor my grandfather owned. I grew up on a farm and it was praised as being the best tractor, it's become more sentimental since my grandfather died. The avatar is superman, I like comics and such. There that's your peek into my life for today! elmer856 out!

Ok.. well. I got my nickname from a german fantasy- book^^ It's one of my favourite books: "Das Rätsel der Drachen" (which means "The riddle of the dragons") by the german author Evelyne Okonnek.
In the book there is a female dragon named Sylat Very Happy

I think my nickname sometimes causes confusion because there is a male name "Silat" Shocked
In spite of all I assure you that I'm a girl xD Laughing
