Ok so I see lots of games here and recently saw a track from myst. So I dug around cleared the cobwebs, blew off the dust, and found my old version of the original MYST. I looked around on the CD and was only able to find quicktime movie files. SO, where is the music, and how do you convert it?

On some games, Like Warcraft 2, you would just put the CD-ROM in a CD player and the music would start playing.

I'm not sure if it is possible to extract the music from the game. I used to have the Trilogy, but I never played it. I bought the soundtracks seperate from the game. Cool

There are so many ways to get music from games but sometimes it is impossible. Sometimes they are on the CD as audio tracks (Total Annihilation), or as a proprietary file format (Unreal Tournament) that gets extracted to your hard disk that can be converted to a more conventional music file. It takes some savvyness and/or some research on how to get the music extracted if even possible. But it's even easier if you buy the soundtrack seperate if available. Wink

Sheesh now why didn't I think that, $14 or spend 57 hours trying to crack the code, don't need a think tank to work that one out, thanx.

No, there is not. I was referring only to the Myst trilogy.

That is in fact how I ripped TA. First track is data, the rest are music. That is why you see track 1 missing on the album info.
