actually i think its a good idea. at least it gives a good starting point to an conversation, also if you are embarressed to be requesting it why are you bothering?
And needless to say with the number of times Simpsons has been requested lately it'll tell us all who we can kill if the same album apears over and over and over.....

A big thanks to JERIC and Sensei for another great feature! The best just keeps getting better!
I just realized that you can comment on your selection at any time. Even after it's played (if you leave the message window open). That way I can apologize to the masses for my occasional shot-in-dark stinker! Cool!
OK now for my one "spoiled brat" request. I would love it if the requester's nick showed up on the currently playing track. Not that I can't wait a minute to find out. It's just that when a track is playing is pretty much the only time I think to look who's requested it. Whaddayathink?

It's on it's way.  We are giving the now playing a face lift, so it should load faster as well as have a couple of new features.

I'm not just kissin ass when I say... You guys are great!
I had a short run in web development myself, (when the concept itself was big enough to pull guys away from their natural strengths) and learned just enough about it to appreciate the fantastic dedication it would take to create and maintain a site like this. It is a phenomenon unto itself. The fact that there is enough love for the project to constantly update and improve its functionality when it's really ALL icing at this point just speaks to what a labor of love it must be to you guys who put in the time.
To me, your constant drive to tweak this fantastic site has kept me around as much as the music has. I am honored to stand by during the "bumps", as you make SST an even more amazing place to spend my connected hours.
Thanks again Jeric & Sensei, for your vision and hard work. Thanks to Cocles, Graywolf & Caliburn for keepin the youngins straight and for helping to to set the tone in this little community! And thanks to the familiar folks who turn up on the site regularly. It’s nice to know there are always “decent folk” out there when there’s a little time to chat!
