Well, a dozen emails, countless posts, a poll and one death threat later, I just have one thing to say to all you ripe bastards,
ARPIL FOOLS!
Come on, you honestly think your happy fun mods and admins, let alone El Senor Cocmeister, would sell out?
Good god man, we're the best damn soundtrack station out there and that's how it's gonna stay. The closest thing you'll ever hear to pop on here is Moulin Rouge.
So sit back, turn it up, and for gods sake stop cryin' 'cause SST ain't goin' nowheres. What started out as a hoax blew up into a huge show of support for how much you silly noodnicks like SST. From the bottom of all our heasts, thanks for all getting so gosh darn ticked with us.
See yeh on the chat & forums, and don't come whining to us later that you knew all along, 'cause we knows which ones of yeh were fooled.
Viva la SST |

After falling for it very hard (I had forgotten the stupid date) it was great fun to string others along.
I agree that I was startled by the strength of some reactions... proves how much we love SST _________________ My reality cheque bounced |

Again sorry we kept maintaining it wasn't a joke, it was the only way to be sure as much people possible would fall for the joke.
That's why I want to thank everyone who figured it out and still maintained that PAS was serious.
Sure made it the best online april fools I ever experienced... Screw the deadline I was supposed to make at work, right? _________________ "By the time they had diminished from 50 to 8, the other dwarves began to suspect 'Hungry.'" -- Gary Larson |

As I didn't log in here after a full day of school I was very aware it was 1st of April so it didn't fool me
I got nervous for a second though |

SlowMo and caray convinced me. Then during the day I unconvinced myself it had to be a bad dream but still they got me enough to post. It was a good one.. fooled me for a few minutes...until I was enlightened regarding the date... What's worse? I told my son earlier in the morning not to be fooled because it was April Fools. Who was the gullible one? End result: mom was fooled, son was not. Go figure!
P.S. I'm really psyched things are staying the same at SST! I love it here! |

You know, this is one of the best April Fools pranks I have seen this year.
What really fooled a lot of people (myself included) was just how serious the admins were about it (they played their parts wonderfuly.)
Although after I had made my post in the PAS topic, I began to realize that even though this sounded too horrible to be true, it was April 1, and I should regard all earth-shattering news with a grain of salt.
But, at least it got me to start posting here. _________________ The very best music is usually underrated. |

Having realised it was an April fool I returned later only to see people were still talking about it. Began to have my doubts!!
Well, it's worked out for the best becuase those of us who were worried about SST changing are now just dead chuffed that the soundtracks will continue unabated!
Respect and the finger to all those who helped to fool me
Now then, where's that Brittany cd? |

Man! This is great news! I didn't visit SST in the last 24 hours so I didn't get to know this was just a terrific April 1 joke. Thank God the site will stay just as it is as far as it concerns the content. I'm really happy about all of this and I wish you all the best for the rest of your lives. |

After I posted comments in the heat of the moment, I felt silly later that evening because I fell for it. I still maintain there's nothing wrong with liking soundtracks like Groove and Cradle 2 the Grave! |

I fell for it for a few minutes and then I thought to myself just how calculated of a charade it could be and that's when I had to help fan it as much as I could. It was VERY entertaining.
I got a quite a bit of consolation and that was not only funny but nice that everyone really did see the value in what we have here - a goldmine.

So once I had cal yell at me and tell me to shut up I decided to edit my post, in the other thread... I was amazed at how many people came out for this, and how many people fell for it... Jeric has more pop cds then Soundtracks... LOL...
I look forward to next year |
