|
Quote: |
· Why can't I see the streaming titles in my winamp when using mp3PRO?
1. Go to Winamp Preferences (CTRL-P)
2. Go to Plug-ins, Input
3. Click THOMSON mp3PRO Decoder
4. Click Configure on the bottom
5. Ensure 'enable SHOUT-/ICE-Cast Title Streaming' is checked.
6. In fact, we recommend all boxes are checked to be safe.
7. Restart Winamp! |
Well, I've tried and re-tried this many times and it still doesn't work. Any ideas/help? _________________ "Get it?...Got it!...GOOD!" -- The Court Jester |

There are no track/artist titles on the Live365 stream, only on Shoutcast. |

Though mp3Pro non-live365 has title support, you just have to turn it on in the mp3pro settings in winamp. |

Another way to view the title without having to have the whole site running in the background, even sst lite. Is to use Active Desktop, using this method should also save bandwith. The neat about the way the site is designed , is the php modules.
To turn on Active Desktop in Win9x/ME,
right click the desktop , there you should find a "Active Desktop" option, goto "Customize my Desktop..." , click "View my Active Desktop as web page" and add a new link pointing to SST Lite module
http://www.streamingsoundtracks.com/modules/SAM/lite-Now_Playing.php
for XP
also Right click the desktop goto "Properties", then the "Desktop" tab. -> "Customize Desktop..." -> "Web" tab and add a new link.
another module/link you can add
http://www.streamingsoundtracks.com/modules/SAM/lite-Queue_Played.php
If you want to run any more modules than that, then you can just as well run the whole SST lite
You can then also move, resize and close the modules that now appear on your desktop.
If you have a lot of windows open just click the "Show Desktop" icon in the quick launch area of the taskbar
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=190355
To turn the module(s) off You can always uncheck Active Desktop for Win9x/ME. For WinXP(or (9x/ME) you could just close those modules or uncheck them from the "Web" tab in the display properties. |
