Are you trying to torture me?

I'm sitting at my desk, typing away and on comes Homer Simpson. I'm thinking, Eh? Am I listening to the right station?

Perhaps there are some good tracks on there that I didn't notice while playing...but there were a couple that were mostly just Homer talking. Can we revisit which of these tracks "fit in"?

Thanks

Seemed to be a dispraportionate number of non score stuff today. Lots of TV theme show tracks with talking or vocals, and disney stuff.

To say only "some of the are quite good" is to imply that "some of them are quite bad" too. Wink

We had a programme over here in the UK called GBH (with Michael Palin and Robert Lindsey) that had a fantastic orchestral theme tune.

But then, as you rightly say Cocles, some TV themes are absolute dross - anyone remeber Dogtanian and the Three Muskahounds?

I agree with Pixie on the Simpsons. It doesn't seem to belong here, at SST.

Emile, you admitted yourself in the chat that it's been awhile since you've been on SST.

How about you don't comment on something you haven't experienced with the rest of us. I love the simpsons and even I begruding agreed it had to go.

My opinion on this is that many tracks from the Simpsons need the dialogue at the beginning of the track to set up the song; so I am not object to hearing this from a Simpsons album (in fact, I expect it). However, there are others which are simply dialouge from the show, and don't really flow well with station that plays music. A compromise could be achieved if these tracks (with pure, or mostly dialouge) were made unavalible for request, while the more substantial songs from the show were retained. To remove the albums altogether would be unfair to those who simply want the listen to the songs on the album.

But, thats just my opinion.
