Some of the music on here is well...AMAZING to listen to...but is there anyway to actualy get the music on ur hardisk to listen to over and over? I tried Kazza but not much going

Yeah, that's bad juju here. We don't even want to talk about anything that could have copyright issues. That's not the point of this station. We here to promote the soundtrack industry and community. I'm not banning people anymoe from streamripping (recording) because the crossfader prevents people from stealing the song from as if it was just ripped from the CD. SST is not a P2P network. Plus, it takes too much time to review IP logs and then ban. I rather work on positive issues here. I used to be totally against streamripping but someone pointed out to me that they record the stream sometimes so that then later when the stream is not available they could have something to listen to. Hell, I remember doing something like that back in the day. I would record some of my favorite 8-bit Nintendo music to tape and then listen to it through headphones on the bus on the way to school. So the way I see things now are:
If you record SST, now that it's crossdaded (songs blend into each other), is like recording FM radio. You are not stealing a product if it doesn't deter you from actually buying it.
Bottom line though, as EyeDea said, support the Artists by purchasing the CD.

I don't get why people would want to record the streams. We don't attach our tape recorders to radios, so why bother saving internet streams onto the hard drive?

Not any more, but I did that a lot when I was a kid, I had lot of tapes with songs from the radio. Nowadays people download MP3s from the Internet and burn them on CDs download the covers and voila a new cheap CD is born.
I agree with Jeric on this one. There are far worse things than streamripping now that the crossfader is installed again, like the example above and of course request abuse |

Not anymore *look at huge pile of old tapes* but I did that a lot when we had no other medium to copy music.
