So I wondered what other things sst helps us with. I know lots of people work while listening to sst but is it something that the music helps you with? I plan school work and mark books while listening to sst and it certainly helps the time pass.

Does sst inspire you creatively? Is it a calming influence while doing something else? Is it there to fill up a silence or for companionship?

Ah, Mellowman, there are so many things that I do with SST on. I listen a lot when I'm reading, writing or doing some other work on my computer. But I'll also listen while I cook or just sitting back and relaxing.

Is it there to fill up a silence or for companionship? Mellow, that sentence has such a edge of melancholy... are you doing ok over there in York?

ROFL! I'll have to agree with Hurr. For me, SST is there helping me while I'm surfing the Net, vacuuming the floor, kitchen work, and of course, you can't forget relaxing and chatting with the wonderful folk at SST!

For me it is to help me get through my tedious day of working on the computer.

I rarely go on the computer at home but when I do, I turn SST on to listen while I browse.

I find SST chat bad for working though. IT IS EVIL!!!!!

Oh, was there lego? My apologies if I'm retreading old ground - I did check the forums first. What was the thread?

I turn SST on when I get home from work then have it on as background music while I do a lot of other things, including preparing meals, eating, washing dishes, reading trashy novels, checking email, surfing the web, writing, etc.

I do enjoy the companionship at SST because my friends are only occasional soundtrack listeners (they like Return of the King and Harry Potter), and I can't discuss different composers with them.

I listen to it at work as an alternative to the common music I hear while at work. Gotta do whatever it takes to stay awake throughout the night.

I listen at work! It helps me shut out what's going on in the office so I can concentrate on programming. There are some tracks that give me a buzz and others that make me feel relaxed and happy. The first track on Signs gives shivers running up my spine Very Happy

It adds drama to the often mundane practice of law.
Rules of Court jump alive when Elfman accompanies them. Ever since I started listening to SST, I haven't gone to many movies at the cinema. I get my emotional fix right here.
