Hi. I am hoping with so many music enthusiasts here someone just might be able to help me out. For some time now I've been looking for the soundtrack of an old American/Japanese science fiction movie called Solar Crisis. I'm not even sure if the soundtrack was actually ever published because the movie was pretty bad but the score is excellent – a mix of classical instrumental and light opera.

The track list from IMDB contains the following:
"Was A Time"
Written by Les Hooper
Performed by Sherwood Ball

"Freedom Sings"
Written by Les Hooper
Performed by Carmen Twille

"Orlop Piano"
Composed by Les Hooper

"Travis Rides Again"
Composed by Tedi Sarafian

"Strip Star Chase"
Composed by Tedi Sarafian

I don't personally recognize any of the composers so I have unsuccessfully been trying to google for more information but to no avail. So I hope someone here can help me because I would really like to own this music.

So no one knows anything about this soundtrack? Oh well, it would almost have been too easy. It seems I'm doomed to google forever onwards. Smile

I took a gander around and didn't see anything.

I'd suggest checking out our links section. You might find some info at one of those sites.

Thank you both. Alas it seems my impossible crusade must continue elsewhere. Smile At least I can see I'm not the only one searching for this great music.

Also listed in the credits with the composer is the recording company...BMI. I went to BMI.com and searched for Solar Crisis.

Surprise. Surprise. There was a listing...

SOLAR CRISIS MAIN TITLE (Legal Title) BMI Work #4083644
Alternate Titles:
STARFIRE MAIN TITLE
Songwriter/Composer Current Affiliation CAE/IPI #
BODDICKER MICHAEL J BMI 8632300
Publishers
BAFFLE MUSIC BMI 248564735
EMI BLACKWOOD MUSIC INC BMI 223437493

It looks like Boddicker is the composer. This is about where I hit a dead end. I've got the BMI piece number, but I don't know where else to look.

Please post if you find something else.
