Everyone is familiar with Elmer
Bernstein. His great Heavy Metal
score features an unusual instru-
ment called the Ondes Martenot.
It's that kind of Theremin-like
sound that you also hear at the
beginning of The Grifters and The
Black Chauldron.
She's actually performed it on
many, many scores, which I am
trying looking into and for many
composers, including Bernstein
and Rozsa.
Well, she scores too. Check it
out in this sample:

She is really influenced by Elmer,
you can tell. _________________ All in the world recognize the

Please make sure the clip is not more that 30 seconds. We can get in trouble for that.

I was listening to an Elmer Bernstein compilation and recognized the ondes martenot in "My Left Foot." It was a very cool moment. Thanks Pete. |
