Does anyone know who did this and have you heard it? Tell me about it, please. _________________ All in the world recognize the

I think the soundtrack was done by Leo Brouwer.
I remember liking the score when I saw the film in the early 90s but I can't remember the specifics. Subtle Mexican guitar music to convey humor or melancholy except for the candle scene which had some orchestral music?
My memory is too fuzzy to be of much help. I hope someone else has heard it. |

Yes, the score is by cuban composer Leo Brouwer.
The soundtrack which appeared first as a promo is very subtle, some nice piano cues, but altogether the orchestral parts are are just samplers which although they blend somewhat nicely, end up sounding like Randy Edelman on a pretty bad day.
The cd also includes a couple of mexican songs from the late 1800's. If they somehow had managed to come up with a real orchestra it would have come out a lot better.
