We went to see this movie over the weekend. It was pretty good.

Spoiler:
Tom Hanks did a great job. I thought he did a really good job with the accent.

I was really glad it didn't end up being Cast Away in an airport.

John Williams score was really beautiful.

Spoiler:
However I thought it should have had more jazz influence since the whole point was for Viktor Navorski to get to the USA to complete the collection of Jazz performers signatures.

Spoiler:
I thought it was refershing to see a movie where the guy doesn't get the girl at the end. And on that note, I wondered how much of the story was true.

All in all, good movie. I recommend seeing it. Smile

I want to see it soon, but there are many good movies coming and not many oportunities to see them all.

It seems my browser is not detecting the spoiler script and therefore I read them all. I was like a moth attracted to a flame!

I really wish I didn't read your last spoiler damnit!

I'll try not to give any spoilers

I recommend people see this movie, however I recommend people _leave_about_10_min_early_ (get some popcorn or something) because for me, the ending was sort of a let-down. I would say, "leave the theatre as soon as Tom Hanks' character talks to the Russian who has been in the country 'since Thursday'. You can come back to the theatre to hear the music during the ending credits." Smile

I had no problem with Hanks' character _wanting_ to "fill the peanut can", and I really don't mind the fact that he eventually does, but something about the pacing/timing of the jazz scene didn't do it for me *shrug*.

Sorry to anyone who read the spoilers I posted since the spoiler feature quit working. I edited to put in a warning for those who haven't read it yet.(Although...it does say spoiler in brackets still...)

Pixie I am not upset, just messing with you. If I had more control of my eyes I could have averted them. Smile
