[off topic, sorry]
-laugh- I love sensei's avatar! One of my jobs is to document my work (sometimes a big manual). It boggles me how most people would rather pick up the phone and call me than to pick up the manual and go to where I showed them during the training session!

Well, i know i'm new here, but i humbly suggest a track.
Spirit - Stallion of the Cimarron, Hans Zimmer-Run Free.
But i guess it's a bit long, 6:22.

I would like to recommend:
Inama Nushif (3:49)
from Children of Dune by Brian Tyler. This one is so beautiful, that should be on CD.

hmmm maybe we should also consider distinctive composers... Not really the main ones, but ones that are up and coming or struck chords with us.

Now saying that I have to agree with Pixie on Hymn to Red October. Also something by Joe Hsiashi.

I'd like some Morricone too but something atypical perhaps. Rolling Eyes

hmm I'll think of more, it late.

1. The Astroid Field from The Empire Strikes Back
2. Nara from E.S. Post
3. The Trees or A Meal and a Bath from Medicine Man

could list more...but these are my favorites here and they remind me of SST

ff spirits within - adagio and transfiguration
return of the jedi - luke and leia
spiderman - opening titles
sneakers - whistlers rescue

SST on Sat. Radio would be great. Its something I have been telling my girlfriend needs to happen for some time now. she thinks im a bit too enthusiastic, but there is a market for it, and really nothing is filling that need on sirius.. dunno about XM.

Maybe I love this too much, but Tawara from Snow Falling On Cedars would be great. I don't think a lot of people saw this movie or know the music, but everytime I request it I am told that is a great request. This is one track that defines SST for me personally anyways.

Yes, carl... totally agree with you! "Tawara" is really a breath-taking piece of music, just like Snow Falling On Cedars is one of James Newton Howards best scores. Smile

I'll definitely second Top Gun Anthem and BTTF. I'm also defintely biased towards Meet Joe Black - you know which track Wink

Great idea - i'll definitely buy it - even though i prolly already have all the tracks Smile
