Uh...we were just helping to test the new server...yeah...that's it.
I think many of us thought that it was possible that our ranks would be returned to normal.
I don't think rank was an issue.
I did learn to appreciate the "Quick reply" feature too. (I seem to recall that it was a topic of a thread/poll once. Guess I should practice on the Forum search as well.)

@mellowman, not bored, merely curious with easy access to MS Excel *grin*
@Chandler, Tjoebgen started the thread and early on there was mention from Cal that the thread would be deleted when the chat was back up and that everyone's ranks would go back to "normal" (something about clearing up database space). Tjoebgen understood that and was quite willing to have the thread deleted. JERIC overruled that and said near the end of the thread that the posts would stay.

It was nothing but good times. Actually I never want to do that again. Kept notifying me there was a new post even though I turned off that option.

I didn't know Cal said that so really overruled isn't the correct word for that. Mods/Admins hadn't discussed it with each other. I think Cal was just thinking that would happen. I don't see it as a big deal. People who spend a lot of time in the chat but not the forums don't get any recognition as contributing interaction with the community. So it wouldn't be fair to take the one day their chats count toward obtaining rank in the forums.
