I think Euro's tend to forget, or simply not realize, just how big countries like the US and Canada are.
Heck the US alone is as big as Western Europe itself.
One of our states is easily as big as Hungary. Los Angeles COUNTY alone is about as big as Belgium and has roughly the same amount of people. |

My history teacher always told me:
But isn't the EU one big market? then it should be bigger as the U.S?
As for Canada, Canada has a population similar to Spain or 1/3 of Germany. or is it the size that counts? |

I realised that the idea was stupid, and then i was just curious about what TJ pays, that is ALL.
Ofcourse everybody should find out themselves, region to region. Though some may live in the same region and can help eachother...
Cocles, yes NYC has roughly the same population (10M people) as Hungary.
But "Euros" do realise how big the US and Canada is.
Btw, we can find out prices here in the EU and share it, i dunno why would that be so hard in the US or Canada...the world is not that big, and it is interesting to see what prices are in different point of the world...
Legolas, you find this thread boring, fine, but what i find boring i don't even look at. This thread is one of many in this forum, i don't think it is that annoying...

If I may stray back into the topic for a moment...
Capt., we are paying $25 per lesson, per kid at the place my two kids are going to presently. It is Western style riding. This is a little less expensive than the place my daughter went to last year (English style) and we think she is getting much more attention in this new place. Not only are they learning the riding portion, but they are learning how to take care of the horse before and after riding as well. |

Thanks TJ. That is not cheap, to me at least...How much time per lesson?
I learn the english style btw, the guy who teaches riding there is very nice. Very patient, i like that.
I learn how to saddle up and stuff, on the go.
It's a great place.

Seems to run a little over an hour. They clean and tack for 15 or 20 minutes, then they get riding lesson for 30 to 45 minutes, then they clean the horse for 15 to 20.

Costs about twice as much as i pay then for the same time. But compared to an average US salary it is about the same.

Tjoe, that is exactly the same amount as I posted earlier - $25 an hour. Prices are pretty much the same. And even if it did appear cheaper in the US than in Canada, it would still be the same because of the exchange rate. |

I love horses. Don't have room for any now. But my oldest will hopefully start fiding lessons next year. Both my girls are horse nuts.
