And now, 200 stanzas. I need to update my signature file at some point. I figure another 40 stanzas, and I'll be done with this draft. I'm dealing with crippling insecurity over how short this will end up being, but, well, it'll be as long as it needs to be.

219 stanzas, another chapter completed, and one more to write. It's coming along.

I've been re-watching the last 20 minutes of every opera I own, to get me in the mood to write an unhappy ending.

I finished my draft. 249 stanzas, 68% of Onegin. I have put together the master file to print out for my beta readers, and I plan to submit it to the slush pile at Tor come July.

Yay for completion! Do you get a break now before you go back over it?

Completion of a draft is a huge milestone! Not to mention on such an ambitious project. Well done, LadyI! Now for the re-writes...

Something I helped build is now on its way to the moon Shocked (not the satellite itself, the hitch-hiking Dutch radio-astronomy instrument called NCLE)

I got, this week, my first personalized rejection. It hurt like crazy.

I also got my first rejection for my novel. All part of the process.

They suck, but they're milestones, so I might as well celebrate them.

Congratulations ..... not on getting the rejections (although as you say, I've always heard you can't be a "real" writer without having some) .... but for taking it and recognizing it isn't the end of the world Smile

This is a little celebration, but my family just helped me muscle through the last fifty pieces of a thousand-piece puzzle. This one:

Yay us!
