I have some good news. First, Tor paid me. My daughter, with whom I am reading Little Women, said, "Now you can compete with Jo!"
Second, you may have noticed that my sig file has changed, and I no longer list the number of rejections for my novel in verse. That is because it was picked up by a publisher. God and coronavirus willing, it will be published in Spring 2021.
One of the downsides of this is that I must now start at least token use of social media, which I have heretofore rejected. Friday I made my first tweet.

Just look at it as more creative writing exercises even if it isn't the topic and format you want to write. Hmm, blog posts in iambic pentameter, maybe?

The hits keep on coming. I unlocked a grown-up achievement: today I took my cat to be put down. I've had lots of pet cats in my life, but this was the first time it was my decision, and I had to do it myself. I hope the boogers wash out of my mask.
But on the upside, my publisher is finalizing the title for my book so they can start on the cover design, and they mostly liked my working title, so yay?
