For multiple reasons listed below in order of importance:
1. Ogg Encoder crashing SAM/Server, errors parsing icecast statistics also.
2. No web traffic from icecast because their yp is down.
3. Was used to connect to the station when SHOUTcast was full instead of Live365.
4. Better sounding/compression technologies are coming soon. We may try WMA and AAC encoding in the future.
5. Ogg 32k doesn't hold a candle to 32k mp3PRO. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

playing thru L365 is blocked. I did the change in winamp to use L365 thru it and it just spins it's wheels. Windows player just looks at me and then the voice of bill laughs at me.
Realplayer unable to work.

Cal wasn't talking about L365, he was talking about the SHOUTcast streams. They're on port 80 which is very difficult for IT Nazi's to block without shutting down access to the world wide web.
Glad you got it working. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Sure...
Drag & Click or
Open URL (CTRTL+L) paste the stream location or
Click on a listen link or
Click on a SHOUTcast link...
Keep in mind that you may receive different errors when the streams are full. Make sure you're NOT using a proxy too. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Welcome back, my old friend OGG!
JERIC, thanks for bringing OGG back to us. It is a great emergency stream for when the network nazis shut down my more normal means of streaming. _________________ "insert your own clever quote here.... I'm too lazy to do it." |
