In America there are two main domestic crappy beers.(thats for you euro's who hate the water beer.) I most prefer my local spotted cow from new glarus...

Anyways! Miller Lite and Bud Light. Bud Light is from St. Louis MO, AND Miller lite used to be from WI, still is made there in Milwaukee. Miller lite has comercials saying that miller lite is running for presiedent of lite beers. So Bud Light has answered with there own commercials...

Its a great rivalry. Like pepsi and coke.

so... to the polls!

vote for one of the two if you have tried both beers. And then post your favorite beer.

RETRY

I had to go with Miller Lite...being from Milwaukee. And I second Legolas' third party candidate of Spotted Cow....is VERY good.

I voted Bud Light, but really I drink neither of them.

Is Coors going to run as well, a la Nader?

Well, I voted in favor of Miller. Actually though I could drink either of them, but I voted in favor of Miller because Milwaukee is 30 minutes away from where I consider home to be. Though right now my beer of preference is Corona Extra.

what is this lite stuff?

No alcohol or less alcohol?

My opinion: the full 5% or more otherwise I drink a soda or something. It just tastes... weird.

Beer without alcohol is like coffee without caffiene.

I agree with you Cal, I reckon you can tell when a beer is non or low alcohol.

As for the poll - Bud-lite. If it was international Becks-lite as near to beer taste without the alcohol that I've had.

What about Michelob Ultra? Bud is the best of the two.

Lite beer is more about calories/carbs (taste too) but the alcohol percentatge is typically slightly lower. I guess diet beer sounds dumb. Smile

Miller Lite 4.61% 31 Calories/100ml
Bud Light 3.56% 30 Calories/100ml
Heineken 5.41% 45 Calories/100ml

Shocked

Americans should excercise more, than taking away the enjoyments of life.

To me as a dutchman that is just too weird Very Happy

I love all kinds of beer, dark, light, red, you name it. Depends on my mood and what's on my plate. Smile

I love beer! Maybe its the German coming through, but I love beer. Its said to see so many people around me who drink and chug light beer. I prefer a nice thick ale that I can drink slow. Smile

Seeing how the first beer I ever had was in Munich Germany at the Hofbrau Haus, it spoiled me. I don't like American beer (it's the one thing we do bad).

If I must drink beer, I like the foreign ones or local brew pubs (of which we have none). But if you make me pick, then Bud light.

drink of choice - a great pinot noir.

I bought this beer as a joke a few years back, only to have it become my favorite after the first swig.
