There are so many films that I have seen on video/dvd but I was to young to see in the actual cinema that have made an impact on me.

But as for actual viewing at a cinema I would say the Ring scared the shit out of me and probaly the matrix which just blew me away.

As far as being overall impressed by a movie seen in a theatre, I'm going with "Always". It was big, it had action, it had tenderness, it had comedy.

Too many other movies that I absolutely love were seen on video.

Excitement: TOP GUN!!!!!!!!! wohoo. That was a thrill ride. They don't make that kind of movies anymore.

Surprised: Phonebooth. 70 minutes filming in one tiny location and not losing one moment of your attention. That's awesome.
