See! What did I say? I highly protest! Always very very recent movies are nominated... Who are these people who nominate the movies anyway? Do they even go in the theatres during the entire year? We should have semiannual Oscars to be fair with movies that came early in the year. Grrr this is &@!*(%#$@.

Nope, they don't. Because those people do not have any interest in scores whatsoever.
Best movie and actor/actress is what counts. Evil or Very Mad
That is why there are people like us, who can give credit to those who deserve it (only who is listening?)

True Patje.

I say create our own Awards! The SST awards! That could be awesome. We would make different categories or elect one soundtrack for the year as we do on another thread. And then send a prize to the composer Very Happy How about that? Plus, it would promote the website and maybe many composers would come to SST to listen to soundtracks (if they don't do it already of course...)

It amazes me just how ignorant some of our long time listeners are to this site, and it's not just Schroddie, it's a lot 'em.

Schroddie, you honeslty had no idea that we had SST awards?

I suggest all of you take 5 minutes and actually click on all the links we have displayed.

And look. One of them's actually called "SST Awards".

Thanks Techo for posting the Oscar nominees. I was too lazy. Wink

So who do you think will win the Oscar?

I bet the Academy will pick either Harry Potter or Passion of the Christ. Best song - Learn to be Lonely.

I'd be a lot happier if Kaczmarek, Newman, or JNH got one. Still think that Newman and JNH can do better than what was nominated this year, but they are deserving.
