The Boomstick Edition (apart from the cute name) isn't all that great, to be honest. The extended footage that they've added into the film looks like it's from a workprint (not timed properly and very grainy).
As well, there are scenes that I remember from the standard edition that looked normal, but in the BE they're the workprint "quality". It's worth a watch just to see the additional material, but there's nothing really exceptional. I'll just watch the standard version of the film (which is the second disc of the BE) in future.
And I'm so glad they refilmed the original ending to go with the S-Mart scene. Much more fun! |

I believe the BoomStick and Limited Editions are virtually the same.
I think I heard something of the DVD rights going to a different distributor. |

There are far too many versions of this movie, I have the official bootleg edition and one of the special editions.
On amazon I count 6, unless there are any more wandering around out there.
Link.
By the way Juan, good times with the S-Mart ending, it was alot better than the other one. The original ending was kind of depressing and didn't quite fit in well with the tone of the movie. Oh well, it was fun to see it none the less.
By the way, has anyone else read Bruce Campbell's autobiography, If Chins Could kill? It's a pretty quick and fun read. I highly reccomend it _________________ "Don't you think that idea is a little half-baked?

I've read it. And liked it very much as well.
To those of you who were recommending Army of Darkness to, any version of the film will do. They're all good. |

Army of Darkness is great, mindless fun; heartily recommended. I have the Boomstick edition myself |
But y'all still haven't said if anything is going to jump out at me. I still can't go camping from friday the 13th 1 !! _________________ 'He looked at her, and being a man whom pity deeply stirred, it seemed to him that her loveliness amid her grief would pierce his heart.' —Faramir's thoughts on Éowyn |

There's a fair bit of fighting the undead armies of the damned, but as I recall there isn't a lot (if any) of things jumping out at you. Army of Darkness is much more focused on the humour than the first two film in the series.
I think you're safe to watch it. |

I can't believe that there are people out there who haven't seen Army of Darkness yet... Love that film!
"I kick arse for the lord!"
Wait - wrong movie.
(What about a "Lionel Cosgrove & Ashley J. Williams VS a shitload of zombies" movie? Wouldn't make any sense at all, but still be fun.) |
