hi
who's music is better ?
the one from Hans Zimmer
or the music from John Williams
we are talking just about the soundtracks, not the films they were made for.
and i know that there are other composers
but now, i just want to find out who's most popular, from the two above.
edit: removed eyeroll

Your poll might be interesting if it weren't for the newbish eyeroll you put before Williams name.
For the rest of you, this is one of those stupid posts disguised as a poll that's really intended to do little more than start a shouting match.

Cocles, I was just going to post that.
@Slurm: bashing one of the masters in a post disguised as a poll is really stupid, go somewhere else. |

Well, at least Slurm finally removed his eyeroll...
As a reward I suppose I'll throw in a comment so he can brag to his friends....
Jeric and I have already had this discussion in depth since he's a huge Zimmer fan while I'm a huge Williams fan.
What he and I both agreed on is that while Zimmer writes themes for situations, Williams writes themes for characters.
It's not a question of who is better, it's a question of what type of themes you prefer.
So I guess it's still a silly poll. |

Jeric and I weren't discussing which one was better, we were discussing how they were different. |

If I was a mod so many posts around here would get edited. There'd be a lot of people spontaneously calling themselves gay. It'd be great. |

=> ok, i'll answer too. Allthough I love them both, I prefer Williams. because I like big orchestral scores, with sweeping themes best.
@gecko, what is it with you and everybody being gay?

Would the gay people be spontaneously calling themselves straight? |

Yeah, Hurr! Totally. If I found out anyone here was gay, that is. And Tron, it's a joke. If you want an excuse though I'll just give you the same old thing I've been telling the others. It's because I'm 13 and use AOL. yeah. |

I like them both for different reasons, but I prefer Williams. _________________ 'He looked at her, and being a man whom pity deeply stirred, it seemed to him that her loveliness amid her grief would pierce his heart.' —Faramir's thoughts on Éowyn |
