I have seen hundreds of movies and this is a SIMPLE one for me to answer. Without a doubt or hesitation the worst movie I have ever seen was....
ALEXANDER
If you have not seen this movie I warn you now to avoid it at all costs, of course IMHO! |
I know a lot of people agree with you on this one, nate, but I actually kind of liked it. It wasn't what I expected. It was more of a study of his mind than a history of his exploits. Still, even I thought that some parts of it sucked pretty badly.

m8: 3 hours
me: what?!
me: Oh well it has Angelina in it.
behind me: SSHHHH!!!

3 more movies I can add to the list...
Freedomland - Yes, it has Samuel L. Jackson, but the dialogue was horrible and it really didn't make a whole lot of sense. Plus, Julianne Moore just did The Forgotten last year. Does she really want Typecasted??
Ultraviolet - Spoiler: In order for them to make the "awesome fight scenes" they decided to blur everything. You couldn't really keep up Milla or any other character. The story made absolutely no sense if you aren't familiar with the comic. It just starts right in without giving you any background information or explanations throughout the movie. Plus it really didn't have that excitement factor I thought it would. |
The New World - Pretty much every comment from Cal in Alexander fit this movie. Ugh!!!

I make it a point to rent hilarious sounding movies, mostly horror films. The worst one I've ever rented (and I've seen it 4 times or so because of how funny it is) is Raptor. It was made in 2002, and the ending is exactly the same as the ending of the same director's movie Carnasaur. He takes several clips from movies he made from the 80's and puts them in the middle of Raptor, even though they don't fit. There are wonderful things like time bombs that are actually stopwatches, and helecoptors that change between shots. It's the best comedy I've ever seen, and it's not even supposed to be funny. |

Well here is my last statement basically explaining why I hated Alexander in addition to what Cal said of pure BOREDOM. I am a fan of the main actors in this film, but it was some of the worst performances by each IMO. Val Kilmer, terrible....Colin Farrel(terrible choice for Alexader first off), terrible....Angelina Jolie(nice having her in the movie but...), terrible. There was only ONE thing in the movie that I even found somewhat enjoyable. The music by Vangelis. Alright nuff said from me, I will let you all form your own opinions. I will now search for other films to add to my worst ever list. |

Battlefield Earth reminds me of Plan Nine from Outer Space the movie my high school drama teacher showed us as a demonstration of the worst acting possible. It was a terrible movie too.
I have yet to see Battlefield Earth, but I hear it belongs on the top ten worst of all time list. _________________ "Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens, makes her a home."

Can't argue with that...
Incidentally, I've just got to mention Zardoz again here. That may be a bad movie, but it's one of the most awesomely bad movies out there. Where else are you going to get giant stone heads vomiting firearms? |

OK, some real stinkers have been listed here, but I swear, some of you have just not seen any REALLY bad movies. Those of you that have posted things like: Star Wars I-III, The Village, 21 Grams, The Sixth Sense, In America (all Oscar-nominated and some winners, by the way)... I humbly submit that you should get a load of the likes of these:
The Dragon and the Cobra
I went into it looking for a great Bruce Lee action flick, and what I got was... utterly inexplicable.
Or
Lady Ninja
I suppose I got what I deserved for even stooping to put this into the DVD player.
Now those are bad movies.
