Thanks to MST3K, I've seen more bad movies than I should have, but they sure made them fun. As funny as they were though, Manos: The Hands of Fate was still pretty hard to sit through in its entirety and down right disturbing ending so it wins my award for 'Worst Movie Ever Seen'.

Another MST3K movie that I thought was terrible was "Invasion of the Neptune Man" IMO, thats their funniest episode, but I nearly got sick watching that movie for the first time. LOL

Haha. Same here. Even with the MST3K guys it was hard to watch all of "Manos Hands of Fate". Another really bad MST3k one was "The Incredibly Strange Creature: Or Why I Stopped Living and Became a Mixed-up Zombie"

MST3K sure made "The Final Sacrifice" and "Time Chasers" fun to watch. A couple of their best episodes I think Very Happy

I actually watched "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" before I knew it had been made into a MST3K... We rented it to heckle it. Very Happy Guess we weren't the only ones! Actually, we finally did see that episode of MST3K, and had come up with some of the same stuff...

heh Left during the intermission. Don't even know who did it Smile

Worse movies:

- Lantana
- Sylvia
- In the cut
- In America

Just too boring.

Wow they still do intermissions? It's a tie for me, between the crappy American remake of Godzilla and Starship Troopers, which I walked out on

So sad, Starship Troopers is actually a very cool book. And the movie has only a vague relationship to it. It could've been so good...

1 (big winner) AEON FLUX by Karyn Kusama
2 (challenger) THE ISLAND by Michael Bay (with special mention for the huge waste of money to parallel with constant marketing along the movie)
3 VAN HELSING by Stephen Sommers (noob sfx winner)

Spoiler:
movies i will never watch anytime because, in my opinion, they should not exist: Gibson'Passion of the Christ,Constantine,Exorcism of Emily Rose, and all these kind of dogmatic movies that maintain lies in an incidious way. personal opinion, feel free to enjoy

There are movies that make me Evil or Very Mad because they are badly made. That doesn't happen too often. The last film I can remember was Lifeforce.

Then there are movies that make me Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad. They are well made, but still bad, and since everyone else thinks so too, I feel a bit better. Take Pearl Harbour as an example. It's the cinematic equivalent of being mugged, but at least I can find plenty of people who will agree with me and we can whinge together. Smile

Then there are movies that make me Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad .They are well made, and everyone appears to like them, yet I don't!! That makes these the worst movies for me:

Harry Potter 1, 2 & 4
Star Wars 1, 2, 3 & 6
Mystic River
Good Will Hunting
Love Actually
Amelie
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Sin City

It is hard to articulate what it is about these movies that I cannot stand. They certainly all left me angry once the end credits rolled. And that anger was only matched by the frustration on learning that they were so well received by critics and the public. For me, there is something about their interpretation or approach or style or aesthetic or sensibility, that lends them a indefinable wrongness which I can't forgive. I guess they represent a view of the (imaginary)world which is antithetical to my own. And no success or praise can ever alter my view.

Harry Potter 1, 2 & 4

aaah yes me too i was so booooored in watching the 1 & 2. I felt asleep while each projections. But yes, everyone like them, i don't really understand... lol

There are a lot of new movies including a lot of visual-effects and wonderfull photography but without any substance in script, or charachters...
yes Star Wars 1,2 & 3 are this type of movie... "empty"(personnaly)

Another exemple: yesterday i rented "the cave" dvd (by Bruce Hunt) it's just another Alien ersatz like Mimic and many more... kinda boring and not scary, but well-made vfx.

all the Lord of The Ring in long version are a magistral exception to this sad routine... the characters and the story are not gave up for the effects.

The worst movie I've ever seen is Final Countdown. I don't know why. I just hated it. It and the 80's hair. Or whatever decade it was. I just could not stand the hair. And the strange effects. Gah. And the yellow walls in the aircraft carrier.

I just did not like it at all.

By far it was a film called Russian Ark simply because it was so deadly boring that I had to really struggle to stay awake through it. I did manage it, but it was a close call.

Really?? Wow. I'm not posting this because I loved and you didn't and now my feelings are hurt, or anything like that, I've just never talked to anybody that
a) didn't like Good Will Hunting &
b) would rank it any where near the "worst".
hmm, interesting.

But, I digress. The reason I came into this thread was to update my earlier post;
Strictly Ballroom is a h&llish nightmare of old men wearing bad suits and worse hair-pieces, and beyond cheesy dialouge, and...you know what? just avoid it.

My worst movie ever was (a French one !)
called "Brice de Nice" ("Cassssé !") French will understand. It was the first time that I stop the movie cause I wasn't able to understand the "trip", some people are crazy about it cause you need to enter its world like Wayne's World wich I'd rather prefer to the other one.
Another one was made by a recognised great director now "Bad Taste" that what he left me on the tongue (not a trash fan). Sorry Mr P.Jackson.
