I'm nor sure if I get you right, but... what do you call the "real" Zimmer music? Rain Man? True Romance? Backdraft? Thin Red Line? Are you talking about current Media Ventures composers not meeting the standard of Hans Zimmer's earlier scores? The man's still around, and he's still writing good music, but of course his music has evolved. Personally, I couldn't care less for a bunch of MV clone-composers trying to imitate old Zimmer scores. |

I see. You should check out "The Last Samurai" then - pure, emotional Zimmer music, with the help of "only" Trevor Morris, Blake Neely and Geoff Zanelli - really not that much additional composers, compared to Badelt's "Pirates of the Carribean". And Zimmer did write the themes and the majority of the music (unlike, say, "The Rock", where he only contributed two themes). |

yes you true, the Last Samurai is a good exeption.
But you know he realy like pass over the jobs. i was in the shooting of Spy Game, and i asked Tony Scott who will be the composer, and he told Hans... Then Harry made it, what i realy love. |
