Indeed, a lot of people here play the clarinet. So do I by the way. Playing in a symphonic orchestra and symphonic wind band is what started my interest in scores in the first place.

Needless to say, I played quite a few of them in the past 15 years.

I graduated from college last May - my final semester at college they added a new course entitled, "Film Scoring: Creating music for films". I signed up to take the class because I love film scores, but you could only take the class if you were a film major or a music major/minor. Bummer - fyi - i play a little acoustic guitar

Your college sounds cool to offer a class like that though. What's the name of your ex-college?

I'm a Junior in Highschool, in the Symphony band and Marching band, which I play Trumpet in both. I've been playing the bass for about 3 years now, and I'll be playing that in the Jazz band next year too. I also compose, mainly chorales for Symphony band, and hopefully, I'll make it up to something near Zimmer one of these days...well, maybe on the same page...or something Razz

I play the piano. I've tried composing, but I'm no Bach, so... *shrug*
(I just play his pieces, and that's enough for me) Smile

Can I reply? Pretty please?

Anywho.

I play trumpet and piano. I'm told I can also sing, but what little I know about voice is self-taught so I think I suck. Razz

Played 5 different clarinets and alto sax. Still have 2 of the clarinets in my possession.

Was also in the chior when I was a wee lass. Wink

Dreamcatcher,

Which clarinets did you play?

Just curious. I've played b-flat, alto, bass, E-flat bass, and b-flat contra bass. Which ones have you played?

Frozen, the boy next door plays his saxaphone in the middle of my Sunday nap ... every week. I'm sure your tactic worked just as well.

But then again, my brother hada garage band once. yeah, our neighbors still report us to the "homeowner's association aka gestapo" whenever our trash can is left out a day, or the grass is getting too long, or the cracks in our side walk have weeds growing out of them. We get a nice friendly letter every other week telling us what is wrong with the street appeal of our house.
