I played a clarinet in 6th and 7th grade, and taught myself the piano. I mostly compose using Finale Notepad or FL Studio now, though. I should start playing piano seriously again.

Also, I apparently have perfect pitch, according to my middle school band instructor. But that was 4 years ago (I'm in 11th grade now). Hmmmmmm.... *runs upstairs and unpacks keyboard*

I play guitar... I even have one with me here in Iraq... I don't do it much anymore, although there's a guy down the way that fixes generators (and also plays the banjo) who likes nothing more in his time off than to come over and play Dueling Banjos...

I play AT the drums (which is different of course than actually playing them) and I like to sing, although I don't do any of it as well as I used to.

Once upon a time in the 80's (man, those were some good times Wink ) some friends and I had a band (and we tried real hard...) but it never really went anywhere... Did covers of G-n-R, Alice Cooper, Poison, Cheap Trick, and pretty much anything else we could wrap our heads around.

It's fun to pick up the guitar every now and again just to relive the 'Glory Days' (Yeah, Bruce Springsteen reference there...)

I've learned percussion for a long time. The whole lot. But I do not practice any more.
Instead, I play piano and harmonica. Most of the time, sountracks, of course.
I can sing, and went in a choral for 3 years, but don't have much time now.

I've tried to compose but it didn't get very far. Except once, when I came in the final of a composer event and my music was played. The jury was composed of Michael Kamen and Vladimir Cosma, so I'm pretty proud of that.

If you go to
http://www.myspace.com/carlirmabrownandthestonesoffire
you can hear some of our stuff. In these songs I'm the bass player/one of the backup vocals/engineer. I do sing lead vocals too, but nothing I've put up here yet. I'm still learning more everyday so it can only get better. "Cowboy Christmas" and "I Walk Through This House" are my first experiments with Pro Tools and the Waves Diamond Bundle. Don't be afraid to tell me what you think!!
