Whoever first put reflectors on tennis shoes is to blame for the lack of natural selection here. Sometimes I wonder how many people I would actually hit while driving around campus at night, if the reflectors on their tennis-shoes hadn't tipped me off. If I had a dime for every one of those, I'd have about $50.

Wearing a seatbelt saved my life. Also, the non-flipping over of an SUV also saved me at the same time. Maybe it was luck or divine intervention, but either way, natural selection has been interrupted in my case, but I'm sorta happy about it.
