I don't like the flash menu. I have more problems getting to what I'm trying to click on with this than any other menu we've had.
I prefer the way it was originally (over on the left side). I liked the DHTML one too, but I know a lot of others didn't or had lots of problems with it- so my vote goes to restoring the bar we used to have on the left side.
That's my 2 cents.

Pix - Jeric increased the pixel size for the menu that seems to have helped me, see if it works better for you

I had the same problems. Since the size has increased, it's much better now.
Thnx.

(but the left side is still the best, sorry).

I tend to agree with Pixie. I really preferred the menus to be fixed and not dynamic. It seems that things are slower when they are dynamic. But its definitely harder to navigate the site now.

Maybe we could have a compromise using that 80/20 rule. Take those 20% of the things we use the most, requests, queue/played, forums, etc. and make those fixed. Then things that are less used, put those under some general menu options that might be dynamic?

Being a web designer myself by trade, I am always trying to balance "cool" things with practical. Most users like fewer clicks to get to the things they want, so maybe its a good idea to try that?

Just my 2 cents.

The station submenu at least needs some tweaking. We've got the bells and whistle stuff (stats, schedule, top 100 rated) readily available, while the real meat of that menu (queue & playlist) are shoved over to the left hand side. I understand that this is because of the alphabetizing, but when it hinders us instead of helping, function should take priority over form.

Not to say this hasn't been thought of, but what about having it as a pull-down (up-down) menu, if that can be done with it. Up-down is tried and true, but I still wish we could go back to the original left hand side fixed menu. Well that's my two cents.

I'll probably change it again. I've got a great idea that I will try to work on soon.
