Well, the Chronicles of Narnia is being brought to the screen, starting with The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Disney is producing it with the help of the people who helped bring about Lord of the Rings, WETA. Here's the official link. Here's the only trailer I've seen for it, although it's a featurette and the window size is small. _________________ It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone. - Homer Simpson

I agree, just watched the trailer - I can't wait. One of my favorite kids books. _________________ 'He looked at her, and being a man whom pity deeply stirred, it seemed to him that her loveliness amid her grief would pierce his heart.' —Faramir's thoughts on Éowyn |

I can't wait to see this movie. It's also one of my favorite kids books. I've read the whole seris to my kids. I look forward to hearing the music. I see he also did music in Prince of Egypt and Armageddon so this should be a real treat. _________________ "Education's responsibility is to replace an empty mind with an open one" --Malcolm Forbes |

Prince of Egypt's score was done by Hans Zimmer, not Harry Gregson-Williams and Armageddon's was by Trevor Rabin. _________________ "Get it?...Got it!...GOOD!" -- The Court Jester |

oh god. i hope they change him to someone worthy of doing a good epic film series. someone who can bring along a wonderful melodic score with character themes, action and deliverance. something HGW has never done in any of his movies. beltrami, giachinno, arnold, shore are good candidates!!!! people with musical blessing! |

From what I've seen so far this should be really cool. WETA did all the makeup and effects for LotR so at least it'll -look- good. _________________ I am accustomed to sleep and in my dreams to imagine the same things that lunatics imagine when awake. ~ Rene Descartes, "Meditations on First Philosophy" |

Still nothing to hear since Harry is still working on the score and trying to survive his busy busy schedule (he just finished scoring Domino, and is also working on August Rush (along with Hans) and Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont.).
The only thing recorded on Narnia is a small motif for flute which was used throughout filming. _________________ The good people sleep much better at night than the bad people. Of course, the bad people enjoy the waking hours much more. |

I had the idea of reading this book to my daughter(who will be turning 4 in just a few weeks ) to get her ready to see the movie. I just started reading the book to her tonight, expecting maybe a chapter a night. Instead, I finally had to cut her off at the beginning of Chapter 5! She was so mad at me for stopping, but it was an hour past her bedtime.
Just an idea for all you parents out there. It gives you some great family time! Plus it's a nice refresher before you see it. |

Well this movie should be good because it at least looks like it's gonna be better than the old BBC movies they made of the books. (Has anyone seen those?) |
