ok my favourites of 2004 were:
-the terminal
-the bourne supremacy
-spiderman 2
-i, robot
-paycheck
-sky captain & the world of tomorrow
-hellboy
my favourite tracks of 2004 are:
1-destination canneloni, the terminal, j. williams
2-bim bam smash, the bourne supreamcy, j. powell
3-round up, i,robot, m. beltrami
4-gut grenade (bootleg) / stand by your man (album edit), hellboy, m. beltrami
i think 2004 was a fantastic year for marco beltrami and john powell who have put out exceptional effort. i think they will be the future of hollywood music in decades to come. |

The Village - JNH
Salem's Lot - Christopher Gordon/Lisa Gerrard
Azkaban - JW
Ned Kelly - Klaus Badelt (This wasn't released in the states until 2004 I think)
The Village is my hands down favorite. Badelt's Ned Kelly score is amazing and it's a nice change for him going fully orchestral. Beautiful score.
Not on the Van Helsing or Troy band wagon.
Even Vangelis didn't hit the mark on Alexander the way he has in the past with scores like 1492. Still, there are some nice tracks. |

I agree with Spider-Man 2 and 24. Anything by Danny Elfman tends to be a worthwhile bet for 'award' status. I have just caught onto the whole Game soundtrack thing by listening to SST and wish to recommend to anyone who like meaningful and poewerful short tracks to try such greats as Halo 2 and any Final Fantasy. I just think that Bolitho2020 misread the title. _________________ A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day. - Calvin and Hobbes - |
