|
i'm a little bit tired of hearing streaming soundtracks with these continously interupts during streaming, while working.
Its a matther effect that streaming soundtracks is the only station on my winamp playlist that have those interupts.... you can't work and hear the sound from sst at the same time.
are you having the same problems ? |

You're probably listening to any of the unsupported SHOUTcast streams. If you listen to Live365 I promise you will not experience any buffering.

er... sorry to burst your bubble JERIC.. I have experienced buffering from live365, or is it different for VIP members?
The buffering doesn't happen often. Mostly during peak hours. _________________ "It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him." ~ J.R.R. Tolkien

I also have suffered from buffering and poor performance whilst using Winamp. Whenever it happends Winamp likes to use the full 100% of CPU time available.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is a Winamp problem (which has been since release 2.4 sth? can't they fix the darn thing?)
So it's hard to imagine this being a SST problem. I can even run into it when u use my private 10Mbit relay
10Mbit ought to be enough
hope it helps to know it's Winamps problem, not SST |

You can always try another media player and see if you're still having the problem. Load up another player, and when WinAmp pukes, switch over and see what happens.
I used to run FooBar2000 (I think) when I was stuck in Windows.

Knowing whether the problem is with SST or with Winamp will help the community. If there's a problem with SST then JERIC and the admins can address it. If there's a problem with Winamp then there's nothing they can (or need to) do.
