A few years ago we owned a full copy of Warcraft 2. In the time we owned it it spent the latter years on our CD shelf because we adored the music.
Three years ago we were burgled; most of the stuff was recovered in one way or another and the guy who did it got caught and sent down, but one of the things we couldn't replace was the Warcraft 2 CD
We considered getting another copy of the game, but they don't have the music on them, and as we've played the game in our house there's no point in buying it again.
Does anyone know if we can get the music again? I'm talking legit, as I consider it worth paying for, it would be nice to get it back on our shelf as it made very good background music for AD&D campaigns

the orignial versions of the game contained cd audio music and the newer version of the game doesnt?
you could try ebay. or look into unoffical channels such downloading the game perhaps to see if it contains the cd audio. or, perhaps contacting the publisher directly with your story.
it could be the case that music is already on the game but not as cd audio. it may be on the game data files as mp3 or wav's. games that feature great music such a bill brown's score for return to castle wolfenstien can be found in the directory you install the game. look in the data files. if they are not already there, have a look at the zip and pak files. you can unzip pak files as they work the same way as a zip file. you may find the music to be there.
another alternative is to try gamestations, computer exchanges and places like them to see if they have the older version of warcraft 2.
mmm...you should try in google warcraft 2 soundtrack and you should be able to find what your looking for. |

I was wondering if the warcraft 2 music would be available anytime soon on SST...
I am a big fan, and still have the older (DOS) version of the game at home, and would like to listen to it at work thanx to SST. |

If you want to see it on the playlist, make a post in the Playlist forum for it to be added. Don't forget links to obtain the music. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Hi DevilGirl
A long time ago, I found this download site of what they call "Abandonware".
In the part "musique" you can download the War2 soundtrack.
Here is the War 2
It seems to be legal, but I'm sure people here will be able ton confirm it or not! |
