I don't know why the old options for listening are back, but thanks for putting them there. I can finally listen in while at work in my classroom.

We have to work out some details backstage before we can have them available again. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

Oh well. It was nice to see them for a little while, especially on Star Wars night. Sounds like they're planned to be back some time, so thanks. |

Same here. I would rather use Winamp myself, but I can't get it working straight up, so now I can't listen at work. Maybe someone can show me the exact thing I should do in preferences. The help on here doesn't help! Thanks |

WinAmp shouldn't be a problem. After all, I listen to the stream on something far more obscure. Sign up for Live365, and save the link from the Live365 play button (instead of just pressing it), and it'll give you a .pls playlist file you can probably drop straight into WinAmp (this was using Oregano to browse, which you've probably never heard of, listening using DigitalCD, which you've probably never heard of, and all running on RISC OS, which you've probably never heard of, but the method is hopefully the same!) |

I think the easiest route is to just use iTunes radio... that works perfectly for me at work _________________ "I got lost on the path known as life today." -Hatake Kakashi |

I'm certain you will not hear the magic of mp3PRO with iTunes though. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

I finally found a way to listen at work. The only media player that works through my firewall is windows media player. I can't get itunes since the school's computers are running on Win 98. Anyway, by using Jukebox and opening up a shoutcast playlist file, I obtained a URL File. Jukebox didn't work, but I got the URL File. I punched URL address into WMP and voila, I can listen now. It doesn't always line up with what is showing in the playlist, but it's the music I want to listen to nevertheless.
I'm crossing my fingers hoping this keeps working. |

Well how about that! I got Winamp working per the instructions in the URL from Jeric. At first it didn't connect, so I left it there and went about my business. About 5 minutes later, it came on! Yay! Thanks! You guys are the best! Now will check again tomorrow morning and hopefully will still be good! |

The 64kbps stream on iTunes seems to be very good quality to me... Maybe my ears just aren't very good, or maybe I've just gotten used to it, but is it really that big of a difference?

Depends what your listening with, i.e. 7.1 speakers or headphones. I'm not at home now to test the difference. Maybe someone else can. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus
