Forgive me if this has been covered before - if so, please point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Anywho, since the release of SW: Sith, I've realized that I've put zero Star Wars tracks on my iPod. Shame on me. But, since there's limited space, I don't really want to dump every track from every soundtrack on there.

So, here's the challenge. What tracks absolutely *have* to go on my iPod? I've got access to the two-disc versions of the original trilogy and the single discs from the new films.

I'll post the resulting tracklist once it's put together. And I appreciate your time. Smile

Just off the top of my head:

Main Title from A New Hope
End Title from Revenge of the Sith
Imperial March
Cantina Band
Battle of Endor III (If that includes the destruction of the Emperor... don't remember which track has that)

If you have the DVD that came with the Revenge of the Sith, then every track on that disc. Its a great asortment of Star Wars music.

I have all the Star Wars on my iPod. Listening to the Battle of Yavin while landing in an airplane is freakin sweet!

I'm a sucker for the character themes (Luke, Leia, Yoda, "the force" and Vader all have themes that I can think of, although not all as obviously named as others).

I've only listened to EpIII a few times, but so far I'm partial to Padme's Ruminations, the vocal section (which makes me think of Black Hawk Down for some reason. There's also a part on the EpIII score that reminds me of Stargate as well.)

-is THE Star Wars record for me. I'm especially fond of the version of Asteroid Field. Great sound quality and the Skywalker Symphony is nice. Anyway, here is the track list...

2. Princess Leia
3. The Little People
4. The Imperial March
5. Yoda's Theme
6. Parade of the Ewoks
7. The Asteroid Field
8. Luke and Leia

10. Here They Come!
11. Jabba The Hutt
12. The Forest Battle
13. Throne Room and Finale

Well, I promised I'd put up my final list. This is what I'm sticking on the ol' iPod. Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!

---Phantom---
Duel of the Fates
Anakin's Theme
Jar Jar's Introduction and the Swim to Otoh Gunga
The Arrival at Tatooine and the Flag Parade
The High Council Meeting and Qui-Gon's Funeral
--- "Not a bad soundtrack for JW, actually. Some really good stuff happening here and there."

---Clones---
Across the Stars
Yoda and the Younglings
--- "JW's laziest SW soundtrack. There's the one new theme and everything else seems to be incidental or borrows bits from previous themes."

---Sith---
Battle of the Heroes
Anakin's Betrayal
Padme's Ruminations
A New Hope and End Credits
--- "Little departures from the norm here, especially 'Padme's.' The 'New Hope' track wraps all the important themes up nicely."

---New Hope---
Main Title / Rebel Blockade Runner
The Dune Sea of Tatooine / Jawa Sandcrawler
The Hologram / Binary Sunset
Cantina Band
Princess Leia's Theme
Ben Kenobi's Death / Tie Fighter Attack
The Throne Room / End Title
--- "Still one of the best. I mean, it starts everything."

---Empire---
Imperial March
Yoda's Theme
The Asteroid Field
Han Solo and the Princess
The Battle of Hoth
Lando's Palace
The Clash of Lightsabers
Rescue from Cloud City / Hyperspace
--- "The best SW movie and possibly the best SW soundtrack. Lots of emotion."

---Jedi---
Luke and Leia
Parade of the Ewoks
The Forest Battle (Concert Suite)
Leia's News / Light of the Force
The Battle of Endor II
The Emperor Arrives / The Death of Yoda / Obi-Wan's Revelation
--- "A little bit of love and a lot of Ewoks. Plus Vader's turn to good is one of SW's best themes."

Anything I miss?
-Tilde!
