If possible, please add "As If to Nothing" by Craig Armstrong.

He's known as the string arranger for Massive Attack, but at SST, he must be known for "Moulin Rouge!" and "Romio + Juliet" etc. soundtracks.

The strings are amazingly beautiful.

There are some vocal songs, but I wish those songs will be avairable for us to listen to because it's very cinematic.
Actually, a song "Stay" (featuring Bono/U2) is from film "Faraway, So Close!" (appearently re-recorded for the album).

If you like E.S. Posthumus and Rob Dougan, I'm sure you guys would like it. Wink

BTW, his earlier work "The Space Between Us" is also good one, too. Smile

edit: "Non-vocal" songs are about 75% of the whole album. Track #6 is a tricky one.
Please check the samples at Amazon site.

Is this a score/soundtrack, or an album by a guy who does scores/soundtracks as well?

Hi Jeff.

This album is not a soungtrack, thogh some are from films that he worked on, I think.

It's an original album by Craig Armstrong, a composer for film like, "Moulin Rouge!", "Romio + Juliet", "Plunkett & Macleane", "Ray", "The Bone Collector" and such.

He's also the string aranger for a popular UK band, Massive Attack (who did soundtrack for "Danny the Dog", "Pi", too!).

I understod that SST have some artists' original albums, like E.S. Posthumus and Rob Dougan (who is also a fan of Craig Armstrong), I thought Craig Armstrong's CD would be a good addition.

I often hear songs from this album in movie trailers and TV commercials. Very cinematic.
I thought he's famous... no? Shocked

Not famous enough, I guess. Thanks for the clarification.
