Thanks for the welcoming words. This is, believe it or not, my first post ever to a dedicated site...
I've still to see M&C, but I'm sure it's a great movie.
Other duels I used to find realy impressive were those between S. Connery and the Kurgan and then Connor and the Kurgan at the end of the first Highlander. They did not age well, but they were realy good when it first came out (had a lot of emotional resonnances because of the story). |

After seeing King Kong, I would have to say that K.K. vrs the T-Rex was pretty awesome! Spoiler: Seeing Kong battle, not 1, but 3 T-Rex's all the while holding Ann...it was pretty awesome! |

I'd recommend Harvey Keitel and Keith Carradine in Ridley Scott's The Duellists. Also Mel Gibson and Jason Isaacs towards the end of The Patriot. _________________ "I wanna introduce you to a personal friend of mine. This is an M41A pulse rifle. Neo vs. the Army of Mr. Smiths in The Matrix Reloaded
That looked like a whole lot of fun. _________________ When all else fails, consider time travel.

Kevin Kline vs. Brian Dennehy in Silverado.
Linda Hamilton (as Sarah Connor) vs. Robert Patrick (as the T-1000) in Terminator 2. _________________ "I wanna introduce you to a personal friend of mine. This is an M41A pulse rifle. Ten millimeter with over-and-under thirty millimeter pump action grenade launcher." |

I love the end of Equilibrium but the Best duels i have seen where in "Fist of Legend" and "Hero". Nearly every Duel Jet Li fights in these Movies is awesome quick and cool. Especially the one against the father of his wife in "Fist of Legend" where they fight blind against each other.
I also have to admit that there are too many good duel scenes to write them all down here, but lets give it a try ; ) _________________ Mess with the best, die like the rest! |

Does the one in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark count? You know the one. It's not in the end of the movie, though. Oh well.

Yes, about that - which one exactly? The one with the guy showing off the big sword? If so, I second that about fifty times.
And if not, my vote will have to go to Inigo/Westley from Princess Bride. That duel was so staged, but so wonderful.

oh another grat duel is between Neo and Agent Smith in The Matrix.
Gandalf and the Balrog is also cool in Fellowship of the Ring.
hmm what else:
oh and another which stands out greatly is the one between the The Hessian Horseman and Brom Van Brunt in Sleepy Hollow. |
