Welcome, skywalker...love the avatar. I really enjoyed all the (4) OSTs I've seen/heard, but I guess Spirited Away is musically my favorite. I did really enjoy Kikujiro as well. At the risk of sounding extremely ambiguous...I like them all ::sigh::. |

Hello! My name's Doremi and I'm a Hisaishi fan.
(And I love the fact that there are so many Totoros around here.) |

Woohoo membership is growing! We can always use a Soot Sprite in the club! Do-re-mi to be in the club you must talk to us in the forum and request Hisaishi! _________________ Pixie "Actually Tree, I wasn't referring to you as a dingus, but seems like you might just qualify as one now!" |

Now that's easy, TreeBob! About every third song I request is by Hisaishi. And I guess I'm talking to you on the forum right now. ^_^
I'm glad to be a member of such a fantastic fanclub!

Unfortunatly I'm very busy these days, no time to chat except sometimes in the morning -- which is still the night for you. Be sure I'm assuring the HFC promotion for the early morning crew _________________ "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" - Blade Runner |

So, dear HFC members, do you own any Hisaishi soundtracks? Unfortunately, I don't. They are not easy to get around here. And without a credit card shopping on the net is nearly impossible.
But I have Chihiro and Mononoke on DVD. A friend of mine also has Nausicaa, Laputa, Porco, Kiki and of course Totoro (all fan-subtitled). I'm looking forward to the release of all those gems over here. I hope they start with Totoro. ^^
I even have a small Chu Totoro made of plush. When you pull its tail, it wiggles across the table. So kawaii! I bought it in Japan long before I even saw the movie. I also sat in a huge plush catbus without even knowing of catbusses. ^_^ |

Where are you living, if I may ask?

Err, many... A lot, actually, maybe more than it is reasonable But as it was said before, it's not that important, as long as you appreciate his wonderful music and request it on SST

Wow! lucky you! I'll go to the Ghibli museum some day, I swear! *childish smile* _________________ "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" - Blade Runner |

For a man with no soundtracks I am jealous of the stuff you have and have done
Where are you in Russia!!!
I got lots too, it is not easy to get them but it can be done. It just depends on which ones you want. _________________ Pixie "Actually Tree, I wasn't referring to you as a dingus, but seems like you might just qualify as one now!" |

Hahaha! Close, but not quite. Austrian girl here with little access to decent anime shops. I did some searches on ebay but I'm not an ebay-nut. I had my account deleted when I changed my e-mail address because you could only change it with - I couldn't believe it!- a credit card confirmation. *grrr* Haven't bothered to make a new account yet.
Some of the soundtracks are available on Amazon though, but I'm not paying 33 euro for a single CD. Food, clothes and the roof above my head come first.
However, since Mononoke and Chihiro (and Howl's) were so successful at the box office, some company obviously thougth there might be some money in the release of all the old Ghiblis on DVD on the German market. I hope they keep their promise and the price below 20 euro. ^_^ |

It's good for you doremi !
but i agree with you on the fact that 30 euros for a cd is more or less some kind of theft ! _________________ In tartiflette we trust !! |

Welcome, welcome carreyfan!
I hope you'll enjoy SST and the Hisaishi Fan Club How did you know Hisaishi? What's your preferred ST?
Doremi: were some Ghibli DVDs already released on the german market? _________________ "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" - Blade Runner |
