It seems that the counter for characters left in the queue message window allows too many characters. When the message is in the queue it seems to be 2 characters short. My PSA type messasges often fill the whole space, but now are getting cut off. Just a minor MySQL fix, I hope.

I just tested it in both IE and FF and it seems to be working here. I noticed in the db that you had some 78 character messages that seemed a bit cut off. Which OS and browser are you using? Are the last two letters cut off after you submit or aren't you able to enter them at all? The counter should start at 80 and let you enter a full 80 character long message. Is anyone else having this problem?

Firefox in Gentoo Linux. The entry dialog is fine. It counts down as expected. Text looks fine. Then it showed up in the queue cut off by two chars. I'll give it another test and see what I find out from there.

ADDITIONAL: I just entered an 80 char message and it went through fine. I'll try and pay attention in the future and see if I can figure out what's happening. It may have been a fluke when it happened before.

Maybe it does, but it does count them when you enter them in the windows. I'm usually pretty careful to only add one space after periods, etc., so that I can fit everything when I do my PSA type messages.

You use quotes. When entered in the database. They are converted from

"

to

\"

So two quotes is 4 chars.

Lucky guess but I think that is it.

Good thinking Cal. Wink I think it's the php script that messes it up though. I made some changes so keep on trying j2.

I should have thought of that, Cal. However, I believe I had that issue when I haven't used quotes. Thanks for the response, Sensei. I hadn't seen any issues since the last post until that one yesterday.
