Probably will, but really haven't put that much thought into it...

Haven't put much thought into wedding planning? The women's society won't be happy to hear that. Surely it violates one of their bylaws.

we eloped during our junior year of college.Came back and had a huge keg party with my sorority and his fraternity at a local bar we all loved. Had mexican to eat.. It was fun! We have been married 13 years. We are renewing our vows for our 15th and I am going to play nothing but soundtracks for the mingling before dinner hour..(nothing too large Smile ) I dont know which ones yet though! I am glad to see others have done so!

I will definitely include soundtracks in the ceremony (if by some freakish twist of time and space I actually get married! Laughing Exclamation ) I love Celtic style music, so most likely it will be something along the lines of Braveheart or Last of the Mohicans.

I used the Throne Room march from SW for my high school graduation. I turned and saluted my best friend once I got to the front, but couldn't keep a straight face because someone in the audience growled like Chewbacca. It was a very interesting graduation!

My brother used the final credits from Indiana Jones for when he and his bride came down the aisle after the kiss. Right before they started down the best man handed my brother his trusty fedora so he could go in true Indie style.

What do you mean "you" used the Throne Room march? You got to pick the processional music or something?

I was home-schooled, so I got to have my very own graduation ceremony. There was always the option of the "official" ceremony with a bunch of other home-schoolers, but I thought doing my own would be much more fun. Mr. Green

yea for geeky weddings! We had an outdoor wedding so hard to really do a recessional, but if I had it would've been the throne room music from Star Wars, no question! We did do a rennaissance wedding though, so of course bagpipes and medieval/rennie music had to be around.

We did use some of Braveheart here and there, and then one of our dances was Save Me, from Remy Zero, the main theme from Smallville. Think some music from the new version of the King and I, the Ang Lee version was in there too.

Very Happy That's great. Now I'm even happier I'm homeschooled. If I do decide to have my own graduation ceremony, I'd probably use the Fellowship Theme from LoTR, or either the Throne Room or Main Theme from SW...maybe I should borrow my friend's fake lightsaber too. Wink *cough*But then again...

Wedding...I have no idea yet.

In my wedding, back in 1989,
I used pre-recorded music for
the whole reception. I record-
ed it all onto VCR tape.

After having played hundreds
and hundreds of weddings, I
wanted something different.

I used mostly John Williams.
Jim's New Life, Liberation:
Exsultate Justi, from Empire
of the Sun were some of the
tracks I used. I tried to use
lyrical and more jubilant
pieces, not too out front.

I wish I had the collection,
then, that I have, now. Still,
if I do say so, myself, the
music was great.

I am sure we could come up
with suggestions for anyone
that is thinking about doing
it. I sure have tons of sug-
gestions. Hehe...

Smile

I had geeky touches at my wedding, like the dragon cake toppers (they mate for life) and a Jim Steinman song as a first dance. No soundtracks. Unless you count the Time Warp, which was danced near the end of the party. Though I think it might have been nice to play "The Arrival of Lady Jessica" from Children of Dune at some point, since, well, I am a lady, and a Jessica.
