Well first off, I will say you could have had no better hostess and host than Twopop and hubby the Berryman! They were top drawer. They also have a wonderful doggie, Jazz. All three were just the best.
Review from my point of view. We ate, talked, ate, laughed, ate, played some video games, ate, wine offerings, beer offerings, later Saturday, ate and had beverages. Saturday night we laughed, Two cried she laughed so hard. We had a wonderful dinner together. Stayed at her house till about 11:00 P.M. During the evening we were treated to a call to Chandler. It was so neat to hear him and laugh with him at his wonderful movies. We passed the mike around and it was as if he were just next door.. ok the next town over! We made requests, and someone forgot to closer her account so Stone was chatting with a member as her!!! I got it closed quick after that!
Sunday we had breakfast together and headed into Portland. If you ever get there, two locations to visit are Everyday Music, which is all used CDs and they have a wonderful ST section. That section is now minus about 3 dozen CDs!!! The other top notch place is Powells Book store. Peaches started out there and did not get near enough time to wonder about.
One more time back to Twopop's for dinner and chat.
Ladies and gentlemen, a good time was really had by all. I am most blessed to have met these folks. I do look forward to another week-end next year. Next time you can come too and bring a tent! they have some room to put it up.. wait no. Hubby is wild with his leaf blower.. best not put up a tent!

I would like to add my 2 cents.
I had the most wonderful weekend and we could not have asked for a better host & hostess than Hubby & Two Pop. The only thing I could criticize would be: she didn't fold the T-paper like the hotels in the bathroom. *big grin* (you know those finished edges)
Talking to Chandler was really cool. The technology of today is making the world smaller and smaller. How else would I have met all of you, if not for the WWW?
As Cinder said, we talked, we ate, we talked, we just enjoyed ourselves and each other.
I know not the words needed to express the joy, companionship, love, I felt this last weekend for 6 people outside my little world.
Thank you Two (& Edward Blower-hands and Jazz), Cinder (& Friend), Lieserl, and Stone for making it such an enjoyable time.

This is a really cool thread. How can I do anything but echo the sentiments that have already been expressed. Peaches, you're absolutely right... without the WWW, I doubt I would have ever run into more than a small handful of people who like to listen to film scores the way that people here do.
And it's great that you guys got to meet face to face. Um... keep up the good work, I guess! |

goodness!
it was wonderful to see everyone together - to meet new folks and re-meet the other ones! like the fine ladies said, we were gonna go out Saturday for activities in Portland, but were having so much fun hanging out and laughing that we just stayed in and kept doing just that. Plus videogames. Plus the Chandler-talk. Plus the AMAZING food Two made for us, and the ample supply of alcohol mmmm!
this was the best possible way a meeting between friends could have gone.
i look forward to doing this again, with more friends.

here's the videogame segment of the evening, featuring Super Mario World. Me and Stone and Dragon got down on that while the Ladies chatted and took a look at Peaches' queenly dress.
acclimated to PS2 controllers + 3 hours sleep = many many Mario deaths
brace yourselves, i'm 100% disinterested in looking attractive in these photos.
