After over a year of trying, SST is finally in iTunes!
iTunes > Radio > Eclectic > StreamingSoundtracks.com
It is set to relay the Live365 streams. I will annouce this on the home page soon. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

|
Just found SST through iTunes and really like it. One
question, though: is it possible for SST to tell iTunes
what track is playing? Some "radio" stations are able
to do this (Radio Paradise, in the same "Eclectic"
category, for one) and it's a really useful feature,
especially since I also have Synergy. I know that
Radio365 has this, but I prefer doing everything
in one app, and also prefer paying SST directly
(threw in a bit in the hopper) rather than through a
third party.
Also out of curiosity, is the 64 kbps stream on iTunes
mp3pro? |

There's probably no title streaming on iTunes because it relays the Live365 stream. Live365 doesn't offer title streaming through 3rd party players. I'm not sure if this is intentional or just a technical hurdle. The stream in iTunes could be mp3PRO compatible since that is what they are relaying but I do not think iTunes can decode mp3PRO streams. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Is it possible to add this to your iTune feed at some later date? It looks like
the stations that offer this feature (e.g., Radio Paradise) create some sort of "playlist" which is downloaded into iTunes.
I suspect you're right about the mp3pro aspect; the sound does appear
to be somewhat poorer in iTunes. |

Hehe, already had to put the station in itunes manually on this crappy mac. Hooray for it being there already next time I have to figure out how to make it work again. |
