Sleeping Beauty

Artist Tchaikovski is only the surname of the
Russian composer Pjotr Iljitsch Tschaikowski!

To Bpewien & Molossus: Edited to Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and also added George Bruns, who adapted all the Tchaikovsky ballet themes for the film.

You are right bpe.
But let me add a little suggestion.

It's obvious that "latin" spelling of russian names is always different from original because of unlike russian alphabet. In fact you spell these names differently in differrent countries that use letters based on latin alphabet.

(for example: russian spelling for Tchaikovsky is: "Пётр Ильич Чайковский"; polish one is: "Piotr Iljicz Czajkowski" and german looks to be - as bpe put it - "Pjotr Iljitsch Tschaikowski")

So,(not saying that bpe has it wrong) I just want to suggest that maybe we could spell this russian composer's name more "english way" on SST. I mean spelling it simply "Peter Tchaikovsky" (Peter=Пётр).

What do you think bpe?
Changed to Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky

No problem Two! Smile I'm glad I can help.

Especially for you, Two:

1) Album: The Rocky Horror Picture Show
#12: Eddie's Teddy
#15: Don't Dream It. Be It

2)Album: The Omen
#11: Don't Let Him

3) Album: Selena
#14: Don't Quit Music/Betrayal

4) Album: Vertical Limit
#9: Don't Touch Her
#14: Peter's Jump/Tom's Heart

I don't own these soundtracks above so I've done verification of my suggestions on Amazon.com (I hope they don't have typos in these titles Wink)

PS: I must confess, that this time I was "cheating" a bit, because I used SST search engine to find typos listed in this post Razz But I really like helping SSTeam...

Hey - whatever works! Go for it. All fixed. ~ Twopop

BTW: Pingu is outstanding (as ever)! Way to go Pingu!

LOL, Mo!!! Apostrophe's are my specialty. Wink

Amazon has lots of typos. So does SoundtrackCollector. If I don't have the actual album insert to check, I usually try 4-8 sources before deciding which one is correct.

Wouldn't be such a big problem for me, buddy! Wink
Thanks btw for this informational input.
It's the same problem with Dmitri Schostakovich/Dimitri Shostakovich/etc., don't you think? Confused
I'm open to any addition for this subject.

PS: In the german spelling we also seem to have troubles with "Piotr", "Pjotr", "Peter" etc. Razz

Hi, can we change the composer of Shadows of the Colossus and Haibane Renmie to match?

He goes by either Kou Otani or Kow Otani. There are other names floating on the net but those are his two most popular. Unless you want to start putting symbols over letters...

Just pick one and that will suffice Wink

So what are you thinking Twopop? Good luck triple sourcing this one Smile
LOL! Of course! Wink -Twopop

Oh, yes! But this time task looks even harder, because we can't call him just "Peter" Wink Laughing
Probably we must stick to "Dmitri", because I'm not sure if there is any english equivalent for his first name. Confused

On the Great Expectations album, there are several people displayed, this is something cd databases tend to display automatically on music software. Actually all tracks included in the album here were composed by Patrick Doyle, while the rest are the featured artists.

Also, one of them is John Williams, however this is not the JW we all know and love, but the classical guitar player.
