I would like to thank the academy for splitting the votes for Williams. So he has no chance even if they are both clearly the best st's of the bunch. (my opinion) |

Tron, agree with you about the Williams scores being most deserving of nominations. Brokeback Mountain is very repetitive and Constant Gardener has some interesting world music type rhythms and collaborators but overall both scores are too subtle for my tastes.
I hope Memoirs of a Geisha wins. If the Williams vote is split, then I'd prefer Pride and Prejudice to win, but it seems like Brokeback Mountain has momentum. It's nice some relatively unknown composers were chosen, but I think their full potential hasn't been reached yet. I like all three song picks a lot, hard to choose one. |
