|
I was wondering what other people's favorite CD releases were in 2005? You can include new releases, old recordings that were released for the first time, re-recordings like Guns of Navarone, or re-releases like Silverado as well. Feel free to add more than 5 CDs to your lists.
*Note that this is different than nominating Best of 2005 Soundtracks for SST's contest.
Personally, I enjoyed:
True Confessions (Delerue)
Escape Artist (Delerue)
March of the Penguins (Wurman)
Memoirs of a Geisha (Williams)
Westworld/Carey Treatment/Coma (Karlin, Budd, Goldsmith)
Others I liked in no particular order:
Wallace & Gromit (Nott & co.)
Time Machine (Garcia)
Fellowship of the Ring Complete Recordings (Shore)
Fateless (Morricone)
Chronicles of Narnia (Gregson-Williams) |

I'm having a hard time choosing five favorites... mostly because I can't remeber which soundtracks I've heard that is only from 2005
But off the top of my head, these are scores I've enjoyed a lot in 2005:
Star Wars Episode III
Corpse Bride
Chronicles of Narnia _________________ "Anything one man can imagine,
other men can make real."

I have four that really stood out for me..
1.Charlie and the chocolate Factory... I really enjoyed this fun elfman.
2.True Confessions very very nice
3.Revenge of the Sith williams because I have a special place for Star wars music and he really did find some new stuff for this.
4. Harry potter and the Goblet of fire. As a whole I dont think It was my favorite but there is about a 10 minute piece that may be some of the best music I have ever heard so it puts it here for me.
